Summary

Michael “ProTrader Mike” Rich of Mojo Day Trading is a colorful entertainer. Who happens to provide financial entertainment within a stock trading chat room. He claims to be a professional day trader, but there is no proof of trading success.

In the grand swamp of day trading chat rooms and trading educators, Mojo Day Trading is probably the most fun to attend. But I would not wager my financial future on what is being sold. The chat room is 100% for entertainment purposes only.

Would love to see the owner drop the ridiculous claims of nearly “100% winning trades” nonsense. But I doubt it will happen anytime soon. Proceed with caution.

Thanks for reading today’s review of Mojo Day Trading

Thanks for reading today’s review of Mojo Day Trading. The business is a stocks day trading educational business owned by a person named Michael Rich. Mojo Day Trading offers the following products and services for sale and subscription:

  • Mojo University $1997. A one month course which includes day, swing and options training.
  • Mojo Super Bundle $1497. A series of recorded classes related to day trading and indicators.
  • Mojo Advanced Bundle $697. A series with extra emphasis in day scalping.
  • Mojo Basics Bundle $297. Includes one course, and one month of the live trading room.
  • Mojo day trading room $99 per month.
  • Mojo swing trading newsletter $99 per month.

A search on Archive.org reveals that Mojo Day Trading appeared on the trading educational scene in early 2013.

Mojo Day Trading occupies the following social media profiles.

In addition to the following social media profiles, if a person were to Google search ‘Mojo Day Trading’, you will notice that TradingSchools.Org appears as the number one search engine result. For well over two years, TradingSchools.Org has appeared on page one for any and all search queries related to Mojo Day Trading. However, TradingSchools.Org has never written a review about Mojo Day Trading.

Apparently, a group of persons got into a fierce debate about Mojo Day Trading on the comments section of a random page on the TradingSchools.Org blog. Google indexed the page, and it now serves as a sort of friction point for the past as well as present Mojo Trading subscribers. In the past 3 years, TradingSchools.Org has received dozens of requests to draft a review about Mojo Day Trading.

I am sure that a lot of readers are curious why I have not written about Michael Rich of Mojo Day Trading in the past. He certainly makes a lot of bold and outrageous performance claims. His website includes nearly 100% winning trades, as per the following:

This is the type of review that I usually savor. Where every day is an amazingly profitable day! If only it were true.

Conversations with Mike Rich

I originally spoke with Michael Rich on the telephone back in the summer of 2014. The trading educational business is filled with some entertaining characters…Michael Rich is probably the most entertaining character in this niche. He is either really nice or really irritable. There doesn’t seem to be much middle ground with Mike. One moment he can be incredibly gracious and warm, and next moment he is a total asshole. Truth be told, I really enjoyed speaking with him.

During our 2014 conversation, I asked for some sort of proof that he was actually trading, and actually pulling off this nearly endless stream of winning trades. Unfortunately, he could provide me with nothing that substantiates the amazing performance claims. Not that I was actually expecting this to happen, the truth is that nobody can trade at nearly 100% winning trades.

And so, for the next couple of years, I just watched Mike toil away on the internet. Watching his day trading business grow, watching his marketing and his endless stream of corny videos.

All the while, complaints kept hitting my inbox. Most readers found it outrageous that nothing was being written. One guy, in particular, was really pissed off and I told him to create his own review and post it on YouTube. He did a great job of expressing himself.

If you watched the video, obviously this guy is pretty upset. And I do feel for him. However, sometimes you have to wonder how anyone could actually believe in nearly 100% winning trades? It’s sort of shocking really. At what point does a person have to question whether any of this is real? Does the trading guru have to report 200% winning trades? And how can you have 200% winning trades?

Finally, during the month of May 2017, I reached a tipping point on Mojo Day Trading. I got a heartfelt email from someone that lost what amounted to their entire savings. Although to most people, the amount was not very much. But what made this email different is that this person maxed out his credit cards to raise enough money to trade. A really poor decision. This person was really desperate and expressed in the email thoughts of suicide. The message was very dark, and very sad. It really dug at me. Perhaps I should have written something sooner. Perhaps I could have made a difference by providing a warning.

A couple of weeks after speaking with this despondent person, I decided to once again make a phone call to Michael Rich of Mojo Day Trading. I wanted to made a final effort to reach out to Mike and avoid having something negative written. What I wanted to know, could he provide me with something that legitimizes his performance claims? Unfortunately, once again, he could not.

As usual, Mike and I had a great conversation. We laughed at the craziness of the trading educational business. And how its basically a planet-sized wonder ball of horse manure. However, I never mentioned to Mike the story about the customer that lost everything. Instead, I wanted Mike to read it here. Perhaps think about it. At what point do we question ourselves? For me, it was a prison cell. In the quiet and lonely solitude, stripped of my gilded covering, bare naked and terrified. Only at that crucial moment was I able to see myself for what I truly was.

Enough darkness and self-loathing. Let’s talk about what is good about Mojo Day Trading.

Inside the Mojo Day Trading Chat Room

In the past three years, I have visited more live trading rooms than I care to remember. Ideally, a live day trading room should include transparency and a good measure of entertainment. Mojo Day TradingUnfortunately, Mojo Day Trading is severely lacking in trading performance transparency, but I have to tell you…Mike Rich puts on one hell of a show.

As far as making money with Mojo Day Trading, that is probably not going to happen. However, Mike runs the chatroom like a nightly sitcom/financial news show. There is buffoonery, colorful language, jokes, funny skits, and all manner of attention seeking engagement. Mike is one helluva entertainer. There are not too many chat rooms that I actually want to visit, but with Mike, I am always assured a good laugh.

Well, that it’s for today. I will leave you with a cute video that Mike recently created. It is a testament to his marketing brilliance. Thanks for reading and don’t forget to leave a comment below.

We know full well what we’re talking about ProTrader Alan – I think it is fair to let people know that you are is right hand man, who makes plenty of money training people who need help in that room because they aren’t aloud to ask any questions. I think people who read your post should understand that you have a vested interest in making people believe what you wrote. Fact is ProTrader Alan, that , the people that commented here, yours is the least credible, anyone that was in that room knows you are not being truthful. so, ex financial planner, turned trading expert, they do have legitimate reasons for what they say. You make money with Mike, riding on his coattails, so you have a bias. That’s Truthful.

Thats it? Thats the whole review ? This guy doesn’t deserve one star. Disappointing – You seem stuck on his “entertainment abilities” which, personally, I found annoying, rude and often disgusting, as did everyone i spoke to in that room. I was there to learn to trade, to earn money and build a lifestyle, not deal with a personality disorder, afraid to say the wrong thing because you’d get kicked out ( while you had trades on!) He would scream at you and call you disgusting names if you dared to ask a question. I dont know how much time you spent there, maybe he knew you where there, he always seemed to know when someone was watching and then “Mr. Nice Guy” came out. Then, had to send him an apology through email, and “maybe” he’d let you back in the room, which I PAID for. REALLY! Perhaps he should get into that business or better yet, get on some meds. Very disappointed in this “review”.

Dropped in a few times to his room when he would spontaneously offer free “looks” via Twitter. The guy is a complete sociopath narcissist. Truly one of the worst people I have ever observed. His room traders are more like victims, or prisoners. You’d need to have serious personal issues to pay money for this, and he is a barely average scalper at best. Keep away.

Do not join this Traderoom.

1) No transparency
2) He Paper Trades and doesn’t actually have trading account
3) He yells at you if you ask questions
4) Look into his criminal record you will find some interesting items.
5) He has traders in his room “pump” him up to make it look good.
6) Claims 98% WIN RATE – Seriously

Exactly – “See I have a spreadsheet showing my trades” – give me a break. In the trade room if he picks a loser he never talks about it the rest of the day…since he doesn’t show brokerage statements it doesn’t matter. Then 5 minutes later he will stumble on himself and say “5000 shares left…..4000…..3000…..then FLAT” but 5 minutes later he will say 4000 shares left. He can’t keep it straight.

Randomly entering positions and adding adding to losers without limit? What could go wrong? Who needs risk management?
Anybody with any idea of trading knows that this room is a scam and that’s the only reason Mike is always aggresive and avoiding any kind of inquiry about his methods.

“Prove it.”

That is the one thing you will never get. It is like Emmett’s latest review where he asked the salesperson are you using the system and they say, Yea making Big Bank and then he says can you show proof and they shut up.

I must have posted a 1000 post by now asking everyone of these shills like ProTrader Alan to show proof of their claims and not one; yes not a single one has been able to do it. In fact if one ever did show any proof I would probably die of a heart attack from shock. That is why I have not state with 100% confidence the Whole Day Trading Industry is one big scam!!!!!

HE DOES make commissions for selling his products, as well as Mike let him set up a “mentoring program” that they make money from- “ProTrader” Alan has sunk to as low a level, those that know him from the room, know this to be the truth.

Incredibly in the review, Emmett gave lostMojoMike three years before asking for proof again and he still had no proof to provide during all that time of 100% spreadsheets and vacuous claims. More like the income stream from the monthly churn lasted during that whole three year period where there continued to be no need to attempt to trade live anymore with the “successsful” shamshow, the common denominator of all these scam tradingschools.

A bold claim ProTrader Alan. Would you care to back it up by showing your brokerage statements from a live account? Otherwise it’s just a claim from some anonymous guy on the internet.

Glad to see you take a look at this one, a very popular chat room. I think chat rooms work best when used for your analysis and not blindly follow trades so in that context, maybe Mojo has some value. I have spent time with grokstar chat and tradenet, both of wich are upfront about simulated trading results, including losses. And both trade high volume, liquid stocks. Would love to see reviews on both of those or hear others take on them.

Yes! No mamby-pamby nonsense about 85% winning trades. Just go for broke and tell them that you win 100%. Never makes a loss. This is just Grade A+++ chutzpah. Not at all hard. Quit your job and make thousands daily with no chance the you will not win. After all, it is 100% winners. Heck, take a high-interest loan and use it to trade. You cannot lose.

Now, if you really believe that crap, I have some ocean-front property in Tennessee that I would like to sell to you for just a small portion of those no-miss profits that you will make in this room.

However, before you send me any money, maybe you want to read what the CFTC has so kindly published.

Thank you for gawking at the victims. Vulnerable minorities and those who can’t get decent jobs will take these sort of risks, it is understandable and they deserve our sympathy and support. Here’s a link to ProTrader Gerardo testifying for Mike http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WXnlUBPik4 Dr. A had hundreds of shills for him doing this in a similar although more sophisticated manner, NoDoji at Elitetrader being the #1 Dr. A fanboy.

I used to like ProTraderMike. He seemed like a kind soul and humble even when we met on Stocktwits with lots of knowledge and mastery of biotechs and NUGT 3x ETFs. Lesson: Don’t make assumptions until you’ve inspected the attractive front and the hindparts thoroughly.

Previous comment was directed to dtchurn. I used to really admire dtchurn, his and Rob’s semi-rambling posts inspired me to start exposing the Dr. A scam by pointing out commonalities shared by review subjects and Dr A, too bad the attacks against me turned into rabid wolfpack based on me warmly telling him about his hindparts, which apparently is some Nazi-like “cesspool violation” in this Ringwraith’s cruel and cold world.

Warrior Trading

DrA doesn’t recommend sim trading apparently ProTraderMike does, seems like a good coach compared to DrA. If you look at how dtchurn tried turning the DrA review into a blame-the-victim linkfest to Mook comments you know it’s not entirely a one-sided issue of me attacking others, so yeah maybe morbid obesity as depicted in the photo is fuelling the vitriol and personal vendetta based on my “crude comments”

The real story is this little whiner consistently lost to arguments with his illogic and started insulting then twisting facts just to try to drive me to the gutter level. The idiot lamely thought he could get away with it. He’s used everything, misdirection, alters, even what the shills depend on i.e the tradingschools spotlight passing over, to try to rewrite comment history which in fact shows he instigated and started insulting me and continued to do so after losing face again and again, and even before that pissing off everyone else. Now falesly constantly trying to rewrite the story in a different light with almost every new review comments. Now his rage has him fauxly saying me and the “wolfpack” are “evil” like he has impeccable judgement which has woefully been proven wrong over and over. Exactly , Stray, he refuses to take responsbility for his own mistakes and won’t face his cessmess.
It was hardly “warming” about the “hindparts” insult and again omitting more context. Try doing those hindparts insults to the others. I doubt you’d find anyone else warming up to it. The ironic truth is , I’m the nicest of the “wolfpack” to those who don’t purposefully try to antagonize me in the comments and the fool continues to focus on me thinking it makes him look “stronger” to the others and newb reaers, pathetically transparent.

You wrote this: “You are evil, you Cyn and Stray Dog are the Ringwraiths from Mordor hellbent on inflicting cruelty on the weak while covertly shilling for Dr A.”

That is not a discussion of Protrader Mike. It is another dig at me and others for asking you to take responsibility for your own actions.

Whenever you decide to actually take ownership of your own actions, you will suddenly discover that us warning others of what awaits them is not cruel. Actually, we are being very kind in warning others to be careful, so as not to experience our own painful pasts, when we too were swindled by these unicorn spouting TR.

Contrary to what your closed mind thinks, I too was in the painful past, seduced by the unicorn, Holy Grail teaching rooms. I would not wish my past losses on anyone. Not even you.

But taking a high interest loan to trade, after being warned repeatedly, at the dire behest of the CFTC, does mean that you have to reexamine your own decision making, and stop blaming others because you got deceived and misled by your own greed.

And why should anyone listen to you say who should dare what? You’re a nobody, even worse you constantly twist the facts, use alters, a “last post”-vowbreaker (in pagetrader) , a noshow to ask b__ks serious questions at the past bmt/fio event, and are the first to always bring the discussion/argument down to a lower level. Sure I made that comment, but that just goes to show how you escalated the nonsense down over 20 reviews ago and have been taking guttersnipes ever since. Folks can look back and see that it was justified. Just like your alter’s lame attempt to fool the readership into seeing RobB as a $shill by taking his words gross out of context in trading room comments. “low genetic markers”, lol

I suspect that your frequent mentions of Dr Evil all over this site are being indexed by google. So that means any searches for him will bring up this site.

I tried out a few google searches and Emmett’s review comes up on all of them.

“Al Brooks trading” – Page 1, result #4
“Brooks price action” – Page 1, result #6
“Al Brooks emini” – Page 2, result #1
“Al Brooks futures” – Page 2, result #1
“Al Brooks con man” – Page 1, result #1 (LOL!)

Not that it will deter the Kool-Aid drinking gambling addicts at FIO of course but at least it’s out there.
